What endures of our experiences are these holes, present by way of their absence, framed on either side by emotional anticipations and repercussions. Highlighting a tendency to privilege mental realities over physical ones, the films of The Enduring reveal a fragility in the distance that separates memory from its referent.

Marianna Milhorat recently received The Technicolor Cinematic Vision Award at the 21st Images Festival in Ontario. Images is a showcase for “Contemporary Moving Image Culture”. Over 30 film and video works were eligible for the Technicolor award, which grants $2,500 of 35mm lab or post-production services from Technicolor.

Among the other highlights from this year’s festival were Jennifer Reeves’ Light Work Mood Disorder, Jeanna Liotta’s Observando el Cielo, Sadie Benning’s Play Pause, Nina Yuen’s Alison, and John Price’s The Boy Who Died.
